    This thread just blew my mind.

    It is New-tell-a. Obviously. It is an Italian product, and no self respecting Italian would pronounce it Nuh-tell-a.

    ETA: It’s not a states vs. other parts of the world thing. I’m from the states and everyone I know says new.

    @jenangeles:  NOM.

    I’ve been thinking about it, and if I want to say it in a sentence in French I say “NEW-tell-ah.”

    This is one of those things that I know I am saying “incorrectly” but I still say nut-tell-uh because “new-tell-uh” just doesnt sound right to me.  However, my 6 yr old niece says it the correct way! LOL

    Ok I literally JUST saw a Nutella commercial on TV and they pronounced it “nuh-tella” every single time… never once close to “new-tella”

    It is an Italian product.  The “u” in Italian is pronounced “oo”  That’s why it is pronounced “New tel la” rather than “Nut el la”

    I didn’t vote, because I don’t pronounce it either way.

    New for me, never Nut. In fact, I’ve never heard anyone pronounce it Nut.

    @Omgbunnies:  I eat it! It’s delicious on graham crackers. I think of it kind of like the chocolate version of peanut butter.

    Nu-tella.  I went to the factory and that’s how they pronounce it.

    I say NOO-TELLA. I am from Italy, and that’s how we pronounce it (Nutella is italian).
