How do you pronounce the word “meme”? You know – those silly internet phenomenons like lolcats??
I always thought it was pronounced “Meh-m” but I heard Darling Husband say it as “Mee-m” the other day which I had never heard before.
So Bees – have I been wrong all this time? How do you pronounced “Meme”?

I read that it’s pronounced “meem”… I think I looked it up on some online dictionary a few months ago because I wanted to say it right… haha

Mēm, which is what I think your “mee-m” is intended to sound like. That hyphen though indicates a syllable break, which would be an impossible pronunciation, since a new syllable requires a vowel sound.
I’ve always hear “mēm” on tech television and radio shows, so I’m confident that is the correct pronunciation.

I say it in my head as Meh-m, but its actuall Mee-m, rhymes with cream.
I always have to remind my self how to say it properly when I speak it outloud haha

I’ve always pronounced it like meem, similar to the e sound in gene.

I always thought it was Meem but I said it outloud to my Darling Husband recently and he said it is Mehm. And he is seriously like the king of the internet, so I take his word for it.
