Just out of curiosity, I was wondering how everyone puts on their dress: by stepping into in, or by putting it over their head.
also, if their a correlation between how you put on a dress and the silhouette?
I have a ballgown and I step into the dress.

Mine was very fitted at the waist, so it had to go over my head.

I step in it. It is a fit and flare.

Mine was a fit and flare and it went over my head. I just out a towel over my face so I didn;t get any makeup on the dress!

I had an A-line and stepped into it to avoid mussing up hair/makeup.

Mine’s an A-line so it could go either way. I’ll probably step into it for simplicity’s sake on the big day.

I’ll step into it one leg at a time.

@Natto: Just like everbody else, right?? Except… kinda doesn’t sound like it.
Mine was a drop waist/a line so easy enough to step into.

mine is a drop-waist A-line with a corset back, and i’ll be stepping into it so i don’t screw up my hair. lol

Mine was a fitted/mermaid style. I had the crinoline and cups sewn in so all I did was unzip, step in/out, and rezip! It was easy peasy 🙂

Fit and flare. I could have stepped in but the mermaid slip made that more difficult so over the head it went. There was much discussion between my maids and mom as to the best way and I just wanted to get the thing on. Haha arguably one of the more stressful points of the day 🙂

I think I am stepping into mine too. I also have a corset back and want to have the lace go up my back not down. Does this make sense? LOL

i initially stepped into it but the back zipper wasn’t sitting flat so the seamstress who hemmed the dress said she would fix that.
i didn’t realize that she basically sewed the bottom portion of the zipper up so the next time i tried it on, i stepped into it and couldn’t pull the dress up over my hips. i thought i had gained a ton of weight or something and then i realize the zipper thing.
i then had to put it on over my head. that sucked.

I’m glad I can step in mine because putting it over my head would be like digging a tunnel in it.

Ballgown, but it goes over my head because of the extra crinoline I wore underneath. I would have stepped into it otherwise.
