with different last names? I don’t mind using his last name socially.. but I’d feel weird saying “Warmest wishes, the Xs”… bc then people might assume it’s the christmas card from his family (parents included). I thought maybe signing it “The Xs (M and K)” … but Darling Husband thought that would be weird.
Should I stick to “Warmest Wishes, M and K X”?
Any advice appreciated!!

I always sign cards with just my first name, and I’ll probably always continue to do so. Do you and your husband share a last name? If so, the last option works. If not, it still works if you don’t mind going by his last name socially, but it’s also acceptable to have different names!

I always sign with only my first name anyway, i doubt that will change when i get married. I say stick with first names.

Like PP’s I always just sign with our first names. From M and A…. everyone who we’re giving a gift to knows who we are, especially signed as a couple there can be no mistaking.

We’ve always just signed things with our first names. Don’t know if we’ll add our last name in the future, but I like how our first names roll off the tongue together 🙂

I always sign with just my first name. And on the return address, if I had different last name as my Darling Husband, I’d just put our first names + address 🙂

We have the same last name, but still — we signed ours HisFirst and MyFirst OurLast. I’m less fond of pluralizing the last name “The LastNames” or “The LastName Family” (particularly the last one because we don’t have kids, it just sounds weird to me).

We got ours pre-made this year and they’re signed:

I signed ours with our first names, mine then his! Our names sound better that way, so that is how I sign things.

We always sign with just our first names but next Christmas (after we’re married) I think it will be fun to sign things from “myname and hisname ourlastname”!

We signed our cards with our last name and then our first names – Joe & Melinda.
