    I usually sign FirstNickname (I rarely use my full) Maiden (now 2nd Middle) DH’s Last

    (I’m not sure if that is your real name but I might suggest changing the poll options if it is for subsitutes for privacy- Like: Jane Mary Smith Jones, etc)

    My name is MyFirst MyLast HisLast (moved my last to my middle), which will be on my PhD and is included on my CV, etc. In research publishing I’ll be F.L.Hislast. But when I sign anything, it’s not important and I just sign F.Hislast – short and easy.

    @Mrs. PolarBear: Haha just wanted to be sure (you never know, with the type of population at my university I wouldn’t be surprised if there was a couple people walking around with car middle names, I’m almost tempted to do a search in the directory now)

    I actually decided to have 2 middle names so my full name is FirstName MiddleName MaidenName LastName, however, when I sign for things, I just write FirstName M.M. LastName. Basically, I write my 2 middle names as initials.

    I can’t help with the two names issue, but wanted to chime in to say: when I sign my name, you can’t really read it.  You can see the first three letters or so of my first name then a scribble, then the same for my last name – first three letters scribble LOL

    I’ll be dropping my current last name completely, but I like M.V. Santorini Thomas (I’m assuming that would be your maiden name and husband’s name?). A lot of professionals go by initials before their last name. This would allow you to include both last names without it getting super long.

    I’m rather lazy with writing out my name…. I sign everything “Brittany T.” or “B. Tanner” It’s just so much easier than writing out the full name and it looks nicer in cursive because capital letters are prettier to write.

    do you have to keep your middle? 4 names is a lot lol. i dropped my middle and moved my last to be my new middle. also, i never sign mrs. For professional purposes I always sign like: Melinda Santori Thomas. For personal stuff I sign Melinda Thomas. 

    If you have to do all 4 I’d say M.V. Santori Thomas to keep it shorter.

    I’ve never used Mrs. or Miss or Ms. — ever.

    The only people I ever call by a title like that are teachers. I can’t think of a single situation where Mrs. Kala Way would be necessary.

    Where do people even use titles anymore? Maybe we’re just weird where I live.

    I’m confused.  Would you sign debit cards and important papers with a title?  I never do, but when the situation calls for it I use “Ms.” professionally.
