Everything that has to do with housing my SO and I split 50/50. Rent, heating, power, internet. We also go 50/50 on vacations.

He has a car to pay off and student loans, so while he technically makes almost twice the money I do, I cover the groceries and all other regular expenses during the month (toilet paper, cleaning supplies). I am fortunate enough to not have to pay for my car, the gas, or my cell phone, and I don’t have any debt, so I thought it would only be fair. When I ask him to go to the store real quick in his way home from work to grab some water and bread, he does pay for that by himself. He also tends to pay for home repair-y things.

The money both of us save this way is considered “our” money. We are saving up to buy a house and get married.
