For me, I want something intimate. Just him and me. And Perfect by Ed Sheeran playing behind.

Something simple yet memorable for me πŸ™‚ Pretty much that’s it. Hehe!

I want him to get down on one knee, and I really don’t want it to be very public. Other than that, I don’t really care.

I think my boyfriend is worrying about his future proposal not being good enough for a story. And he said he wasn’t very romantic. So he decided that everytime someone asked (who wasn’t nearest and dearest) that we would come up with an insane story. For instance, we went swimming with sharks in a cage (lol wtf) and he tied the ring to the cage. As I went to grab it a shark bit down on my arm (and we would have to draw red lines on my arm with marker) and that he was the hero and punched the shark in the nose to make it let go.. Then proposed. Haha he is a nut. The other one I came up with (and he added to) was we were out fishing and he said he would retie my hook for me (and was going to tie the ring to the line) but something happened and I moved the rod and the hook got caught on his finger. And in the excitement of it all he dropped the ring in the water. And we spent all day snorkelling trying to find it and just before the sun went down we did. And he proposed. lol

I don’t know if these are dream proposals for me but I thought they would be very cute (but hard to pull off) and kind of reflect both of it. (You will see similarities in the last goofy story)

– Fishing together and he swaps my hook for a ring on my line

– Snorkelling and he hid the ring somewhere I would find it

– Involving my horse some way (never gonna happen because he wants our proposal to be a reflection of us and horses are all me)

AND FINALLY.. this one would 100% be perfect.

– Tying the ring to one of our three dogs collars or incorporating all three somehow. We sometimes use our dogs to send little written notes back and forth to each other across the house when we are on different levels.

As to when I think he will propose I have no clue! Last year he said he saw us getting married in a few years… Recently we talked and he wanted me to come up with a budget for a wedding so we know how much to save and see when its possible. In those talks after I came up with budget he said even if we got engaged that day it would probably be 2 years until marriage. Then 2 days ago he was asking how we do the ring thing because he wants the ring to be 90% my choice and 10% his choice where he adds a little something of him in it. And he was saying he has the money for a ring so he might as well put it aside. And thats when we talked about proposals and such. He wants it to be a surprise but I think he wants help lol.

300bride :  Here is to hoping! I have to say the communication part has come a long way in this past year or so. I am very happy proposing is not something I need to think about. As much as we are equals in our relationship, I am the one who has to remind about bills/make sure they get paid, figure out dinners, keep track of things… so its nice to have this one thing where I don’t really need to think about it.

And yah I am pretty sure the snorkelling one would be a fail unless the water was super clear and shallow. My boyfriends brother tipped the kayak and lost his fishing rod… we couldn’t find it…a full 5ft rod with a bulky reel! So could you imagine a ring? πŸ˜›

That’s so exciting!! I know exactly how you feel πŸ™‚ my boyfriend and I are going to Disney this week, which is both of our favorite places in the world. I’ve heard him talk about the ring in past tense like he’s already bought it, so I have a feeling he’s going to do something cute in Disney!

My Darling Husband proposed at home. It was perfect. We’re both private  people and introverts so I wouldn’t have expected anything else.

My SO and I are planning a trip to Rome/Venice in March… and I am almost 99% positive he will propose on that trip. He always said he thinks I “deserve” a glamorous proposal internationally… but reality is that i’d be just as happy if it were to be at home! πŸ™‚ However, i’m definitely not turning a trip to Italy down. I love history, so going to see Rome is a bucket list item for me! If he proposes there, that’s just knocking two things out in one trip.

I’ve never been to Italy, so I have no idea how/what/where/when he would do it… but there are some pretty awesome sites to propose in Rome/Venice. The only thing is that I never really wanted a public proposal because that is scary to me (like, I know I will 100% ugly cry), but I don’t think I’m against it enough to insist that doesn’t happen while we are in Rome, you know? I’ll just make sure to pack those portable face wipes. πŸ™‚

 I’m so excited for you!

My s/o has told to me before that he would want to do it in private. I’ve told him that I will accept whatever he does, but it would be really sweet to go back to where we had our first date. I’d also kind of expect him to get down on one knee but if he doesn’t I don’t mind, it’s really just him asking that’s exciting!
