Psmooty:  Sorry I can’t be of much help – I’m in the same boat as you! I just wanted to say that you’re not the only one, and I’m here if you ever need to vent!

Get busy with something else! I was busy with work and other stuff while I was waiting for the proposal, so the waiting wasn’t too bad for me.

i’m in the same boat as you… I saw a text message from a jeweler about a diamond recently on my SO’s cellphone. I was so excited! I tried not thinking about it, but I finally caved and looked at his email and saw a few emails from jewelers too. It was all I could do, NOT to read them! Now I am stuck trying to keep myself from snooping (and potentially ruining a surprise) while still wondering if I’m reading into those “signs” and he’s not even buying a ring yet afterall!

Get distracted and post on here when you’re getting impatient!  We usually use the Shut-It-Up-Pact thread to vent if we’re feeling down.  It’s like a support group ๐Ÿ˜‰

I hope he proposes soon!

I recently had this. We picked the ring together and two weeks later he proposed. It felt like the longest two weeks ever and it was so hard to try not to talk about anything wedding related for that time (which I failed at a few times)! But, you know he has the ring now which means that he is most likely trying to work out how and when to propose – it will come ๐Ÿ™‚ !

As soon as you are engaged people will be phoning you and asking to see the ring, asking how he proposed, asking what date the wedding is going to be (seriously) and old friends you havn’t seen in years will appear out of nowhere asking for invites! In the meantime, enjoy just being together before it gets crazy ๐Ÿ™‚

We also just ordered my ring (should be here in 12 days!) and he says he’s going to propose the first or second weekend in October! I’m losing my mind!

I know how you feel! I just do my best to keep busy with school and work and that’s been helping the time pass quickly. Hope it’s everything you wanted! ๐Ÿ™‚

agirlnamedlucky:  Same! We ordered my ring from moissaniteco.com and he plans on presenting it to me Oct. 4th since we’re already engaged. It can’t come soon enough! ๐Ÿ™‚

My advice is to keep busy. Between taking 16 credit hours in school and just starting a job that wants me for a minimum of 20 hours a week (they seem to err more towards 30+ hours, though), I consider it relaxing when I think about waiting!

You are in a better position than I was.  We were together for 7 years, and I was told that June that we’d be engaged by the end of the year.  I had an idea of when he went out and bought the ring, but I didn’t know when it’d happen.  Other than work and general daily stuff, I spent my idle time internet planning the wedding. lol By the time he proposed (that December) I already had a plan in place for our venue, food, guest list, colors, etc. lol
