(Closed) How do you want him to “do it”? I’m talking about the propsosal, of course!

I don’t want it to be done in front of a huge crowd, at a stadium, or in front of family. He doesn’t know. But unless it comes up I’m hoping the universe pushes him in the right direction. 🙂 I don’t have a dream proposal though.

Haha. Does “now” count as “how”?

Seriously though I have given the proposal very little thought. I’ll just be happy to have it happen. It would be nice if it was in autumn since this is my favorite season. I would also love it to be photographed and in front of a lot of people. A big hullabaloo.

That’s really all I can think of.

Once I went snowboarding as a teenager during the perfect winter snow. It was Christmas weekend so at night the light off fireworks. I was at the highest part of the lift when they stopped the lift to set off the fireworks. Everything was white and blanketed in perfect snow. There were large fluffy flakes slowly falling and then brilliant white fireworks started booming. I was sitting alone, but it was the one time I have ever thought, “This would be the perfect proposal.”

i never really thought of it. though, apparently i know that i will not be getting a proposal like michael’s in the office with all the candles. the mister already knows someone who did that and since i’ve “seen it” it’s not new. i’m kind of bummed because i thought it was a great one! except with all the people watchiing. i don’t want people watching. lol

This probably sounds lame but…

My boyfriend and I are foodies. We like to out to a nice dinner, experience a new cuisine while having a drink and have a great time. He dresses up nice when we go out, so it’s completely over done – but a nice dinner when we’re laughing over drinks, having a good time and truly enjoying the food with great conversation would be awesome.

The other thing is we travel together to several festivals each year. Often when we go, we’re surrounded by close friends having a reat time – I’m really relaxed, unstressed and just carefree. A creative proposal ther would be awesome and I’d probably be so relaxed I’d never know its coming.

I agree with tea I loved the office proposal.  My SO was watching it with me and I told him I wanted something like that simple nothing over the top.  I just want it to be the two of us and for him to speak from his heart.

@Tunacupcakes: “now” ….I like it! Haha. I think that’s my answer.

I honestly don’t have dream proposal. I would prefer it not be in a huge crowd or even around my family. We can be in public but as long as it’s intimate (just us two). I prefer me and him only.

Honestly at this point though it doesn’t really matter. He could wake me up out of my sleep with my headwrap on, crust in my eyes, and slobber on my pillow and I would take that proposal. LOL

I am very interested to see what he plans out since he’s on this big “I want it to be special and a surprise” kick. He’s somewhat shy so I couldn’t imagine him doing it around a lot of people, not even our family. But who knows I could be wrong.

You know now that I think about it I would love something personalized that I could keep or take pictures of. Like I know Taco Bell sauce packets they allow you to put personalized messages..so like “will you marry me” on the packet (I hate taco bell but hey). Or the personalized M&M’s with the message “will you marry me” on them (I do love M&M”s…mmmm). Or I do love cake…maybe have a cake made for me in one of my favorite flavors and just have the message “will you marry me” on it. LOVELY

All my life I’ve dreamed of a proposal in the Christmas season (but not actually on Christmas because those two days are already about other things important to me), however, now that we’re both completely agreed that we want to get engaged soon, I don’t want to wait that long until Christmas season to do it. So, in my dream world fantasy land, he would decorate the inside of our house for Christmas someday when I’m out of the house, I come home to a lovely surprise Christmas during a random month, and he proposes while we decorate the tree.

But I know that is never going to happen haha, so realistically I would really love it if he did it on one of our bike trips. He taught me how to ride a bike just two summers ago and ever since, bike trips have been special to us. We have a favorite trail that we go on, and a favorite place to stop for lunch on it…I would love it if he did it there. We’ve been talking for years about getting a tandem bike too and I think this is the year it’ll actually be feasible…how great would it be if he proposed at our favorite lunch spot after a day of tandem riding?? Gah. I get giddy just thinking about it!

I really don’t like flashy things, or a very straged traditional “dinner” proposal.   I’d prefer something intimate and laid back, also I would feel very embarassed if it were in front of strangers (like in public or that people over hear or figure out what is going on) or family (lots of pressure)

Just something private and laid back I’d say, more sentimental than “staged”
