I am not to that point yet, but I plan to wear my engagement ring on my left ring finger and my wedding band on the right. In my church it’s traditional to wear wedding rings on the right hand, but I prefer not to stack rings, plus, I’d still like to show that I’m well and truly “taken” when it’s that time, hence the e-ring on the left anyway.

It depends on the rings and how the fit together. I have seen it both ways, though i would advise not to say that it being closer to the heart is a load of crap because a lot of women in here will be quite offended.

Personally im wearing mine outside because my e ring is a bit loose and it wilk kind of hold it, but at the sane time i dont plan to wear my e ring every day once im married, only when i go out or feel like it.

In my area of the world — I see wedding band first on left hand ring finger then ering. That’s how I generally see it everywhere.

Either band proximal, engagement ring distal or just move the engagement ring to the right hand when wearing it. I haven’t really decided. But I have always seen bands closer to the body.

I think your way makes sense, plus I was wondering about when you put on the band at the wedding are yuo supposed to take off the e ring and then put on the band and back on the e ring… seems like a bunch of hooplah to deal with

JessRae:  pretty sure the custom for your weddinf day is to wear your e ring on your right hand and then he puts the band on the left and then later on you slip the e ring on after the wedding band

i wear mine the traditional way- wedding band first. i had my rings soldered together a month before my wedding, so my husband placed both rings on my finger at the same time.

JessRae:  I believe the common tradition in the Anglosphere is to wear your engagement ring on the right hand during the wedding ceremony, leaving the left ring finger unencumbered for the wedding band.

Personal preference.

I happen to have a w-band that’s worth more than the e-ring, so, even by a “I might lose it” logic I’d wear it on the inside.

I wore my ering on my left ring finger during the ceremony and Darling Husband slipped my wedding ring over it. Then I just swapped them around after we signed the registry!

Now, with my newset, its the same. I never even considered wearing the wedding ring on the outside. I like my ering to be the main attraction so having it on the outside makes it easy for me to stare and admire through the day!

I wear my wedding band first then my engagement ring.

I will most likely wear my wedding band behind my engagement ring. But as a grocery store employee, I have seen quite a few people wear wedding rings on their right hand (my dad does this since it’s customary in his parents’ culture), and even more people wear engagement rings behind the wedding ring, so I have been exposed to a lot of different variations.

I wear my wedding band on the inside, engagement ring on the outside. I just like it that way both aesthetically and symbolically.
