Mrs. Bee’s post about ring sizes made me wonder: how is everyone wearing theirs? People look at me crazy when I tell them I’m making a sandwich out of my engagement ring.
The asymmetry of only one wedding band bothers me, which is retarded, I know. So mine goes: wedding band, E ring, wedding band. My bands don’t even match my e ring, they just compliment it nicely! Anyways, with so many styles out there from guards to interlocking settings to matching bands to everything in between…what’s everyone wearing?

I’m with you on the single band not being symmetrical … but as of right now we can only afford one band! ๐ When the person helping us choose rings hear me mention the lack of symmetry she said "well you could always purchase two!" … I gave my fiance a little nudge and said "happy one year to me!" … hehe. But as of now it will be wedding band cloes to my heart then engagement ring at all times ๐

When looking for rings I found an e-ring that I LOVED and then a set of wedding bands, one on bottom, one on top…but because of the way that my e-ring sits, they had to sauter (wow…how in the world do you spell that???? lol) all three pieces together in order for it all to fit right. Kinda confusing but I really like the way it turned out! Heres the final product…

I will eventually solder my rings together too!
(it’s solder … I know that for one reason only – my fiance is an engineer and we actually have a soldering iron in our house – what a nerd!!)

Has anyone heard of an "eternity ring" before? Some Aussies have told me there’s the engagement ring, then you get the wedding band for one side of the engagement ring and then on your one-year anniversary, he gets you an "eternity ring" for the other side of the engagement ring. I had never heard of this but, hey- the more rings we get the better right!?

We’re doing the interlocking, soldered together, but the wedding band will be on the inside, unless I’m just not paying attention one day. I actually found the wedding band first and totally fell in love with it, so he had to make sure whatever e-ring he picked out would work with it! It has sapphires and is the prettiest ever! ^_^

I was originally planning to wear a channel set band on each side of my e-ring. But I’ll probably start with a simple, white gold band and possibly add to it in the future. Until then I’ll be doing the assymetrical thing. ๐

I totally hear you on the asymetrical thing. My e-ring is sold with a complementry wedding band. I wasn’t in love with the wedding band initially (it’s a simple eternity band), however, when DH suggested we get one for either side, it looks great!
