Personally, I love my gym. I started going to spinning classes about two years ago and I still enjoy them to this day. I go to spinning classes about 2-4 days per week. They are 60 minutes long and an intense workout!

I despise traditional gyms. I’m not a runner and don’t enjoy cardio on the elliptical or bikes. I should say I was a ballet dancer for 20 years, so my body does all sorts of strange things when subjected to more traditional forms of physical activity. Hence my dislike for gyms.

I do yoga and reformer Pilates at a small, private studio near my house 3-4 days a week. My husband and I got for a 1-2 mile walk on the weekends when the weather is nice.  I do have some yoga DVDs for at home but I’m not so great about using them.

I belong to a gym, but I do most of my work outs at home (Insanity, usually)

As of right now I’m running with Darling Husband. I was running on the treadmill at a gym (one without classes). Before that I had a membership at the Y so I could use their pool. Unfortunately all the pools were outdoors so I couldn’t swim past October. If the gyms around here that had pools weren’t so darn expensive I’d do that, but I can’t… so we run and do strength training exercises.

Can you enable multiple choices? I go the gym but 4 days a week I go to fitness classes at the gym and really love them! My gym is right by my work so that has made working out the most convenient thing for me.

I don’t like the gym because for me it’s just one more thing to do after work before I go home. I like the convenience of being able to work out at home so Fiance and I are slowly buying equipment such a stationery bike, a mini trampoline and free weights. I also am not a fan of working out outside (running) because I hate it when it’s too hot and I hate it when it’s too cold so I always have an excuse not to go.

In addition to the equipment we do have we use videos. Right now we are using Insanity. Before that I used weight training videos and some aerobics videos.

The gym, I go every morning before work – this way I dont have to force myself to go after work. When I used to go after work I would always try to find an excuse to skip it and go home.

I do the elliptical and run intervals on the treadmill at the gym. I split my time with free weights and the kettle bells between home and the gym

@bunnyharriet:  I try to do them every day with one rest day being Saturday. Sometimes I switch it up with the rest day and sometimes I only do it 5 days a week. But for the most part, every day. I do the 30 Day Shred now. Afterward I may look for another video or I may just alternate between the levels on different days. I really like the video and I find it to be very effective.

    Other.

I just get up and go to work 🙂

And some random push ups, pull ups, bicycle crunches whenever it tickles my fancy.

I HATE the gym. There is nothing you can do there that you can’t do at home with some creativity and weights. Waste of gas, money, and travel time.

I WISH I could go to the gym. For me to go to the local gym 3 days a week, plus train fare, would cost about $220 US a month, which is just too much for me to swing.

I walk a lot, do Jillian michaels yoga DVDs and ran for a while (had to stop 4 weeks ago because of knee problems, going for a trial short run this weekend to see if I’m getting up to it again), and enjoy hiking.

When my knee was at its worst (couldn’t sit for more than a few minutes) I did very gentle walking and an awful but effective upper body workout I found on YouTube!

I find mixing it up works best for me. When I move to be with Fiance, we’re debating between joining a gym or buying an elliptical and weights for home (he has a chronic knee injury from a skiing a accident a few years back, and ellipticals are better for knees).
