I use an elliptical and freeweights at home, and sometimes Kinect games (especially Dance Central). I only do exercises I enjoy doing (otherwise I just won’t do them), so I had to figure out where and when I actually enjoy myself when exercising.
I also eat like a fiend AND lose weight whenever I go on vacation because I have the “explorer” spirit…meaning I will never sit somewhere if there’s something new to see right around the corner… I usually burn througn several pairs of my most comfortable shoes per trip.
Unfortuantely for my figure, I don’t go on vacations often enough, lol!

I go to the gym….weight training is a staple in my workout, but second to that is running outdoors preferably on a wooded trail.
Weight training gives me the fat bruning cardio I need, plus I do a few different types of HITT cardio to maximize fat burn potential.

I swim 3-4 times a week at the gym (masters swimming group) and take group Spin class or yoga 1-3 times a week. Occasionally I’ll hop on some cardio equipment by myself.

I’ve joined gyms before and have never been keen on it. I feel intimidated working out surrounded by others. I also feel pretty darn clueless about most of the machines, so I get bored doing the same thing I always do.
I’ve also tried running outdoors, and for a time I really got into it. It’s challenging here though because it gets hot out so quickly (I think it was 94F today), so I feel like there are only a few months when I can comfortably run.
I’ve begun to take a liking to home workouts. I especially love 30 Day Shred and saw fantastic results with that – far more than I have with any other workout I’ve ever done. It’s also convenient because it’s only half an hour and I don’t have to tack travel time onto that as well. I’ve also started doing some home workout videos, and I like it so far. I find all my stuff online.

- Wedding: June 2013 - Upstate NY
For me (and other human beings, I’m assuming), running torches the most calories. Nothing else makes me feel as “exercised” as running does. I run 3-4 times a week outside here in upstate NY and sometimes it is COLD!!! I hate treadmills. They mentally torture me. Then I lift weights once a week and the other day I do the elliptical, Spin class or hike.
