I didn’t have multiple bridesmaids either — and I wouldn’t go back in time to change it at all! My best friend’s my Maid/Matron of Honor. DH’s best friend’s his best man. We involved our flower girls, his parents, my brother and my mom in the procession. Our flower girls (DH’s nieces) linked arm-in-arm; there were no signs held, no petals tossed. For us, involving our families together was a big deal. We walked into the ceremony as a family. The recession also happened as a family.

We also walked in together, with our dog.

My Maid/Matron of Honor pretty much lives on the other side of the world in Australia, but she and her boyfriend helped out SO MUCH with a lot of last minute details.

I did NOT want a bachelorette party. So, it made sense for me to have a small wedding party.

Because my Maid/Matron of Honor was already pretty swamped, I assigned photo wranglers (I chose family members) for group photos.
