@littlegreenleaf:  I wish I had access to this caterer… That sounds delicious and like an extremely reasonable price. If portions are offered pp, then it definitely sounds like enough food!

I’m sold on eggplant marinara and gorgonzola salad (which you should make sure is available bacon free since gorgonzola and bacon are often paired). Also, order too much, even if that means leftovers for a week, because how horrified would you be if the food ran out. I’d just get more of these items though instead of adding on. I also think a cooked, crisp veggie side would be nice, like green beans or brocollini or asparagus…. something not too heavy.

Sounds super yummy!  I would think about adding at least one side dish of just veggies.  It seems a little starchy so a side of veggies or a salad might help.  Making me hungry!

Sounds delicious but maybe a bit on the heavy side? I second the PP who suggested some light, crisp vegetables or something to that effect.

When I plan party menus I try to make sure there’s a balance between sweet & savory, hot & cold, soft & crunchy, meat & non-meat. It’s not always appropriate for every event to cover all those bases, but it’s a good place to start looking for holes to fill.

And as for leftovers: who wants to cook when they get back from their honeymoon? Welcome the leftovers!

Yum!  Great deal too!  We’re having 50-60 and our food budget is $500-750 so it’s sounds like we’re both in right ballpark for a catered menu.  Definitely better to have some leftovers (get to-go boxes and send them home with people!) than run out of food.

Sounds great and very similar to our menu. I agree with adding a veggie. We’re doing roatsed green beans. 

May I ask – does your catering costs include anything or just the food? Like does that include silverware, servers, etc or is it just food? It sounds like a really great deal!

I would add the grilled veggie salad or a veggie of some sort but this all sounds soo great. And a pretty good price too!
