Usually you wear your e-ring on your other hand, then he puts your wedding ring on your left hand.

Some people wear their engagment ring on left hand then switch the rings after the wedding (if you want your e-ring on the outside).

It’s totally up to you tho!

I think I will probably wear my engagement ring on my right hand…I think a lot of girls do this.  It’s not a big deal to leave it on though and just have him slip it over your engagement ring, then reverse it later.  Hope this helps!

I took a cue from one of the other bees who said her friend incorporated the e-ring into the ring exchange. So, when we do the rings, FH gets the band from Bridesmaid or Best Man, and I hand my e-ring to the officiant. Then he puts the band on my hand and the officiant hands him the e-ring as part 2 of the ring exchange.

Some people also get their e ring and wedding band soldered together, so they go on as one.

I am wearing my e-ring on my left hand for the ceremony.  I’ll switch the rings on my fingers afterwards.

I’m doing the right-hand thang and then switching it over after as well. Seems like a popular idea!

Yes – I too am doing the right hand ring thing….I have a total of 4 rings!!!  I have two wedding bands, they are solid rose gold pipe bands. The two bands will go on each side of my proposal band (rose gold shared prong eternity band.)  Then my e-ring is and will always be worn by istelf.  I’ll wear my e-ring on my right hand, FH will put two wedding bands on my left hand and then Maid/Matron of Honor will have my proposal ring. We are Jewish and during a wedding we do not exchange band with diamonds on them. After the ceremony my Maid/Matron of Honor will give me my proposal ring and VOILA, three rings on one hand one ring on the other!!!!

I wore my “Something Blue” ring on my right hand – so i kept my Engagement Ring on my Left hand during the ceremony.  Then, Darling Husband simply slipped my wedding ring right over my Engagement Ring.  Right after the ceremony, I flipped them so that my wedding band was under the Engagement Ring.

Depending on your needs, you can really do whatever works for you!  I was in a wedding where the bride had a right hand ring so she had me wear her Engagement Ring during the ceremony (as a BM).  Whatever you like – honestly, nobody but you and Darling Husband will know!
