I don’t think it looks flattering in those photos. I’d need to see it clipped/pinned with the alterations, but right now it doesn’t give you any curve (possibly because it’s too big in the waist) and just looks sort of like an ill-fitting nightgown.

I don’t say that to be harsh, just because you look AWESOME in your wedding dress and I don’t think this one does you any justice. I think the alterations could make a big difference though, I’m just having a hard time imagining them. I think a cute shorter (knee or tea length) A-line with a fitted waist would be awesome on you.

Its OK. Not great, not bad. (I LOVE your sedding dress, especially the back and shoulder area) Could look better after being fitted though and with the cardigan you mentioned. Its VERY bridal which could be the look you’re going for?

Do you have pics of a different angle?

It looks like you’re still wearing a wedding dress!  Is that what you’re going for?

It looks pretty formal right now.

Maybe shortened it would be better, but I agree with PP, it looks like a runner-up wedding dress.

You are a pretty gal but that dress does you no favors. I just showed it to my elderly neighbor and she says she would be embarrassed if she was a guest at your post wedding breakfast because she would think you forgot to get dressed. LOL she thought it was your wedding night nighty when I first showed her By The Way she loved it then :p

I think you could do so much better. Your wedding dress is so pretty! Get another knock’em dead dress 😀

Mmmm, well if you want to look like a bride this one does it… I think its smart to look at tea legnth ones. Maybe look at some white dresses that arent advertised as wedding dresses also?

How about a dress along these lines but in white or pastel? Its lovely, but not quite a wedding dress. Ya know?

I think there are much better options available for you.

You need to think travelling – and a strapless dress is NOT going to be practical in that situation (Think luggage, handbag, maybe running to catch flight etc).

I had a look at Macys and there were a few chices that stuck out for me:

Dress 1

Dress 2

Dress 3

@Cariad:  I love that first dress!

I am planning on being SUPER comfy the brunch after our wedding night though, planning on wearing jeans and a cardigan at this point, I will have been all fancy the night before!
