So I went to visit my first florist this weekend, and I have no idea if the price they gave me is good or not.. I plan on going to see at least one more to compare, but I figured I would get some advice from you guys as well.. This is what the quoted me for:
My bouquet (medium size; mix of white/yellow flowers like roses, lilies, billy balls, etc)
4 BMs bouquet (slightly smaller; mix of yellow flowers like gerber daisies, roses, etc)
14 bouts (roses)
4 pin-ons for moms and grandmothers
2 peace roses
6 aisle bows w. babies breath
The quote was $800 for all of this and delivery/set-up.. What do you ladies thing? Is this is a good deal?

If you get 2 more quotes for the exact same thing and compare, that is the best way to know.

I think that sounds pretty good.
- My bouquet – Usually around $100
- 4 BMs bouquet – Usually around $50 each so $200 total
- 14 bouts (roses) – $10 each so around $140 total
- 4 pin-ons for moms and grandmothers – $10-15 each so $40-$60 total
- 2 peace roses – Not sure, pretty cheap
- 6 aisle bows w. babies breath – Again, pretty cheap but labor intensive. I would guess about $200 or so?
So from that I would add that up to be about $700. I think the extra $100 for delivery and set up is very appropriate.
Are you doing anything for the reception? What about up at the front of the church?

My bouquet was quoted at around $150, the girls $48 each; The bouts are $12 each, and I thought that sounded expensive.. I mean, it’s one flower! The mom’s pin-ons were $16 and the bows w/ babies breath were $12 also.. We aren’t doing flowers up front on the altar because the church is pretty enough (in my opinion).. Also, we didn’t need reception flowers because they come with our reception venue..
I know everyone says flowers are expensive, I guess I didn’t realize it until you get your own personal quote..

@MsPensFan: Bouts are only one flower but they are time consuming to assemble, hence the price. You could always do non-floral bouts to save money. Your quote sounds reasonable to me.
