@MistySoda:  yeah, i don’t think i would be too impressed with that job they did.  that did not look professional at all.  i’m glad that they are doing something to rectify the problem.  fingers crossed that the new ring is in your size.

That sucks they did such a bad resizing job, but I am glad they are trying to rectify the situation. Hopefully the new ring will be in your size…

@MistySoda:  I had a very expensive riing resized literally in minutes at Shane Co (ring was not purchased from there, was custom made for me)- and they brought it down OVER a full size, and it looks absolutely amazing.  It looks just like it did when it was given to me.

I also took my ering (bought online and didn’t want to send it back in for resizing) to our very local jeweler down the street- again0- was kind enough to do it within an hours time, and again- perfectly smooth.

Sounds/looks like the place you took this to is making excuses- 2 days doesn’t make it so they can “do a relly good job”.  Places that keep rings moe than a few days for resizing only aren’t keeping it because the actual resizing process takes that long- they have other jewelry in front of yours and they need to have enough time.

I would not only demand my warranty back, but I’d either demand (politely) a new ring, or that they pay to have it properly sized.  Maybe throw out there your mother worked at a jewelry store…..LOL

You should get your money back and go somewhere else and see if they can fix that mess.

@MistySoda:  oh good- at least you are getting a new ring!!  and in your size- so at least it’s taken care of?  I’m having a hard time telling if there are stones in your ring from the pics- to me it looks like there might be?  At least your warrantly that you paid for should cover that, right??

@MistySoda:  I completely have the same feelings as you on that one- once that ring goes on my finger- it’s MY ring- and truth be told, I did a post on here about how we purchased my band, I found a carbon spot that I thought would annoy me on one of the diamonds, traded it for another of “the same”, but something was different on it- since all pieces fo jewelry, are of, course, slightly different even if they are “the same”….so here I am chasing down my original carbon-spotted ring all over town LOL.  thankfully it’s back in my hands and I love it (I might have been trying it on an hour ago…..)

I would assume they have a jeweler can properly reset a stone- as much as I trult do think that resizing job was nasty, I’m pretty sure they’d be out of business if they couldn’t do ANYTHING LOL- also, they would likely not offer warranty if thier workmanship often resulted in a loss of stones- even replacements.  You just had a crappy goldsmith- (it looks like they cut the band and overlapped LOL….um…..)  Good Luck!!

@MistySoda:  Oh I bet it will come in time! I had a similar experience where they sized my ering and I wasn’t happy because I felt my side pave diamonds were loose, even a year later I mentioned how they should have ordered a ring in my size instead of sizing it and they ordered me a new one… A year later! But this was at Zales I’m glad they’re geting you the rright ring!
