We are having an early afternoon (3 PM) reception and as such, having hours d oeuvres, not a full dinner.
A ham or beef carving station with rolls and condiments
Chicken tenders with honey musterd (FI wanted this!)
Sausage and cheese balls
Pasta station with marinara and alfredo sause, broccoli, red peppers mushrooms zucchini and yellow squash to put on (for any vegitarians in the crowd, which I’m not sure there are any)
Chees and cracker tray
veggies and dip
So, what do you think? What other kinds of options would you add? There are a lot of other things we could have but I’m not sure how many options we should have. Thanks for any imput.

I think it sounds good. I suggest maybe adding some fruit as well. 🙂 Other than that it sounds delicious!

It sounds pretty good to me! Do you know of any vegetarians that may be coming? If so, you may want to add/swap in a hot vegetarian item as well for them.

I think that menu is good. Being quite fond of sweets, however, I suggest having some selection other dessert-like options. I do love that you added fresh fruits to your menu, though; I think they’re refreshing and healthy.

No vegitarians I know of, we are meat and potatoe people! I would love another dessert, we are having lemon cake and strawberry cake (mine and his fav) but the only other dessert optino is a chocolate fountain and it is like $6 a person, just for it, not including the other foods.

sounds great. you defintely have enough options to make everyone happy. if you really want to add something else why dont you add a mashed potatoe bar since you mentioned you were meat and potatoes people. all these food posts are making me hungry

@College: The mashed potato bar is an option I just didn’t know if people would really eat that? It seems cool but it is also one of the more expensive options, you pay by the person instead of by the amount of food so I didn’t want to pay for something if people dont eat it.

That sounds good! I second the adding some fruit – it stretches things pretty well for people.
