- Wedding: October 2015
I was recently at my cousin’s wedding, and there were young children present, some which will be at (and in!) my own wedding. There was nothing for them to really do, and they were a little out of control. Something my Fiance and I have always had in mind was a children’s table at our own wedding, with items to keep the kids occupied. Since I live right across the river from Crayola, and they have a fabulous gift shop, I will be going there for some items. Also, after researching a little on the internet, I have come up with other ideas as well. The children will be ranging from 1-9 years old.
*disposable cameras along with a list of items for a “scavenger hunt”. They find what is written, and take photos.
* Sketch books, with crayons/colored pencils
* coloring books
* Mini puzzles and games, such as bridal bingo, mini candy land, etc.
I know the one year old will not be able to do these activities, but her parents will be keeping her with them. I will not forget her though!
Fiance even has this idea to have a printer there with a digital camera attached. The children can have their pics taken, and printed out and they can color pics of themselves! Not sure if we can do this, but it is something to think about.
If anyone has any other ideas, feel free to let me know!
ETA: Also, we will be having stations at the reception (an upgrade to what we were going to have!), and there will be sliders, mini dogs and mac and cheese. We want these children to feel special, and wanted, as well as kept occupied.
