So I was trying to think of how the send off would work with doing a receiving line after the ceremony and this is how I think it will go. You tell me if you think it’ll work.
Ceremony ends, Darling Husband and I walk down aisle to back of church followed by bridal party, parents, etc. Parents, groom’s parents, Darling Husband and I line up at back of church for receiving line while bridal party waits outside with paper cones filled with petals to hand to guests as the exit. We do the receiving line, guests pick up their petals when they walk out and they wait outside the stairs for us to finish. Then we walk out and guests throw the petals.
Does this sound okay? In both of my brothers’ weddings the bridal party was also in the receiving line but with 16 total (8 Bridesmaid or Best Man and 8 GM) I think it would be too many people, plus I don’t want the guests to have to hold their petals and try to give hugs in the line. They might drop them or something so I thought it would be better to have them handed out at the end.
