My car doesn’t handle extremely well (2009 Mercury Sable Premiere), but my husband’s does! He has a 2007 Subaru Impreza, and that sucker can handle snow and icer like nobody’s business (I have yet to find a Subaru that doesn’t)! We’re in the snowy wonderland of North Dakota, so it is essential that we have cars that can handle those types of road conditions.

Hahaha! I have a 1994 Dodge Shadow. It’ handles ok. We put a thing of tube sand in the trunk and it’s ok. Can’t wait to get my new car though!

I live in Michigan and have a 2004 Ford Focus with new tires.  Rides totally fine.  Which, thank god, because it’s snowing like crazy in the D today!

Front wheel & all wheel drive vehicles handle better in inclement weather than rear wheel drive vehicles.

I have a front wheel drive, manual transmission Hyundai Tucson and it does well.  If the snow is too deep, of course, I’ll end up stuck, but if I’m driving in typical snowy conditions I just go slowly & keep it in a lower gear and have had no problems.

I drive a 95 Honda Civic. It’s not my ideal car, but it’s a car, and surprisingly, drives like a champ. It snowed here the other day. . . granted, my normal 45 minute ride home from work turned into a 2 hour drive, but I didn’t slide all over the road.

I drive a 2012 Nissan Rogue S All Wheel Drive.  I LOVE driving in the snow with my car!  It’s great!!!  Before this I was driving a 2011 Scion XB.  It was front wheel drive and manual and it handled really well.

I have an 07 honda accord. It handles pretty well in the snow, and I don’t even have snow tires. I never really have trouble with it.

I have an all wheel drive Toyota Venza and it does fine in bad weather. That said, I prefer not to drive in snow and ice conditions because Maryland drivers are ridiculous. So I usually work from home if it’s a weekday or re-arrange my schedule if it’s a weekend to avoid having to deal with other drivers. Honestly, the way people act, you’d think snow and ice were rare around here instead of an every winter occurrence.

My 2004 Civic was terrible in snow until I finally caved and bought snow tires this year. Made a world of difference! I have no idea how I survived a combined 6 years in Buffalo/Cleveland without them ๐Ÿ™‚

I have a 99 Toyota Tacoma (small rear-wheel drive truck with 4WD).  It’s not great when it’s in 2 and fishtails when the roads are icy / snowy, but it’s great in in the snow in 4.  I love it though – I’ve spent more time living out of that truck for previous jobs (as a field biologist) than I could count!  Oh and I’ve never had snow tires… maybe I should get some.

I have a front wheel drive 2005 Chevy Malibu that does really well, but I also invested in a $650 set of Blizzak snow tires ๐Ÿ™‚

It is not good at all in the snow. My husband has drove it in some rough snow but that was because he had no choice and he put loads of sand bags in the trunk to help give it some weight. It’s a 2007 Mustang. But my husband has an older truck (pretty much his work truck) with four wheel drive. We bought it with our tax return two years ago just for that very reason. ๐Ÿ™‚

I want an SUV really bad. But that will have to wait.

And I actually just took this photo moments ago.

I have a 2011 BMW 328xi and it’s awesome in the snow! Probably because it’s all wheel drive.
