Congrats Bee!!! I was about 3 months in before I bought the first outfit for our baby. Right now I’m almost 5 1/2 months along (first one) & have bought some more outfits & other clothing accessories. We are actually getting the nursery painted today…we have the crib, mattress, dresser, bedding & curtains, the stroller & car seat set, an Owlet, and a few other little things. The hard, but exciting part of it is that we are going to let it be a surprise!! So gender neutral outfits & colors (grays, whites, etc.) for us all the way. It’s so exciting!!

What are yall hoping for? We would like to have a girl because DH already has a son, but more than anything we just want a very happy and healthy baby! πŸ™‚

About 12 weeks we bought the infant seat, at almost 20 weeks we have the nursery furniture and a few odds and ends. We have known the gender since 13 weeks and I still haven’t bought any clothes. We have our first shower next week so we will are coming around to getting stuff.

mrsc416:  Oh heck yeah, go for it.  I’d hold off on the minivan but an outfit?  That’s a great way to celebrate πŸ™‚

When we got the BFP, DH and I immediately drove down to Barnes and Noble to buy What to Expect When You’re Expecting, which I never read to be honest, but we just felt like we should do something.  Buying an outfit would’ve been such a better idea.

I am 16 weeks now, and we haven’t bought a thing. Oh, I take that back… someone posted a great deal on Facebook about the Fisher Price Kick ‘n Play Piano Gym off Amazon where you just paid for shipping. It must have been a Deal of the Day or something. They normally retail around $40, and I got it for $6. Score! That was literally 2 days ago.

I’ve bought some books – What to Expect When You’re Expesting, Expecting Better, one that is geared towards Fathers, Belly Laughs, and Baby Bargains.

We know what we’re having, but waiting until our 20-week U/S to confirm. Then we’ll start buying stuff, since we’ll be telling people (keeping it a secret now). We already have a theme for the room.

I’m 21 weeks and we haven’t bought anything…. we’re super excited, don’t get me wrong! But we just found out the gender two days ago and it makes it awfully difficult to plan when you don’t know what you’re bringing home! Since we found out, we have been window shopping and picked out a crib, picked our carseat, pack n play, and made a list of items we plan to buy over the next few months.

Im 31 weeks and we have tons of clothes. That’s about it! We’re under contract for a new home so we haven’t bought any nursery items yet. I did order an infant car seat. I have my baby shower coming up soon so I’ll probably make a lot more purchases after I see what’s left to buy.

I was due in November and started shopping for the baby in September. We moved at the end of October, though, so we got the furniture and the stroller after the move. I felt I was very late, since I had had the hospital list for a while and din’t have any of the items on it, but in the end I had more than enough time to get everything I wanted.

I started buying things about 3 weeks ago (at 20 weeks) because we found out it was a boy, and after that I couldn’t help but buy some cute clothes and an adorable bouncer that was on sale! I think I was nervous to jinx it before the halfway point, as well… wanted to wait for the anatomy scan before getting too excited

Right around 3 months. It may have been a tad sooner cuz like you I was SO excited. I say go for it! One or two gender neutral outfits aren’t going to break the bank no matter what happens & you will feel better. I also wanted to know. To each their own. If your mom doesn’t want to know you don’t have to tell her. 😁 Congratulations!!

We’re nowhere near there yet (only at 6 weeks), but I’m guessing that after we have our ultrasound with hearbeat (10 week mark) I may grab one or two gender neutral items just for fun!  Once I know the gender, it will be so much more difficult not to buy stuff.
