My dog is great. He won’t bother me in the morning. When my Fiance leaves he hops up on the bed gives me a kiss and snuggles next to me and goes back to sleep. He can sleep till noon if u want to. Even if he needs to potty he goes and comes right back un bed.

Both of our dogs are not :allowed” to bother us until we are both up out of the bed!

Our alarm clock is set for 5:45 every weekday and our pups know not to bother us before then (unless its serious). They hang out while we get ready for work and head downstairs with us by 6:45 ish.
On the weekends, we try to sleep in till 7 or 8 but it doesn’t always work out. Our big guy (65+ pounds) will jump on top of me (literally, he jumps on the bed and crawls over till he’s sprawled on top of my body) with his face 2 inches from mine, breathing heavily. As soon as I acknowledge his presence by opening my eyes, he starts giving kisses. While I’m distracted with our big guy, our little girl sneaks up onto the bed and crawls between Fiance and I and wiggles around till she’s belly up. Then she gives us the sad face till someone rubs her tummy. We all hang out and enjoy snuggle time for a few minutes, then we get up and take the pups downstairs so they can do their business in the back yard. I wouldn’t change a thing!

OUr oldest used to wake us up around 6 am to go out but she stopped about 6 months ago. Our 7 months old puppy wakes us up at random times in the morning to go out unless we get her to sleep with us. Then she stays asleep until we wake up.

I am shocked to see how many people say their dogs don’t wake them up! Lol. I had no idea! My dogs wake me up 1-2 times per night and once in the morning, usually around 5 but sometimes before. It works out okay because I have no problems getting back to sleep. I also have a little dog with a small bladder, maybe that’s the reason?

Spencer sleeps outside, and he only makes noise once he hears me come downstairs and shake the cat food box. When he hears the biscuit noise, he’s up and ready for his breakfast! 🙂 He’s a good pup.
The cats, on the other hand, are arseholes, and constantly wake me up early. 😉

I don’t allow my dog to wake me up. I’m pack leader at our house so I make the decisions.

I am beginning to think my dog is very spoiled. It is enough that he shares the bed with us, but anyway…. he wakes me up every morning at 5:30 AM by walking on me. I tried to ignore him one time and he stepped on my neck! My husband lectures me about this all the time, but I am a sucker…

Our dog seems to have an internal clock and jumps into the bed to cuddle with us about 2 minutes before our alarm goes off in the AM (7) but is content to sleep in on the weekends. Dogs are funny!
