My mom has a wedding cake business, and she suggest 4-9 months in advance. Do you have any ideas for who you want to go with?

We booked ours 11 months out, but she was a baker who filled up fast, especially for June.  But we didn’t design it when we booked, we did the final design 2 months out.  I’d book as soon as you know you want the baker, and I’d start looking at least 9 months out.

We ordered our cake about 11 months out. She is getting very popular and on various cake competitions on tv. Plus, my wedding is on NYD and I wanted to book her ASAP.

Our wedding cake vendor was part of our venue package, so we didn’t have to worry about booking someone within a certain time frame.  Our wedding is mid-February, and we scheduled our cake tasting for mid-October.  Can’t wait!!

We’re starting to taste samples 10 months out. We had a lot of recommendations from one bakery so we may go with that.

I think any time within a year from your wedding a baker will work with you. We booked ours about 6 months out.

If it’s a spring/summer wedding, I’d say do it NOW! The good bakers book up fast!!
