I don’t think this is that big of a deal at all, it is under a year so if you like them I would just buy them.  Unless you don’t look after your belongings the chances if them getting lost or damaged are super low.

I think it is fine.  You’ll want your shoes before you make dress alterations.

I guess I wouldn’t be overly concerned about them getting damaged or lost unless you plan on wearing them frequently before the wedding or planning to leave them out where pets and children could get at them.  Just keep them in the shoebox and put the box on a shelf in your closet until you need them.

Are you planning on wearing them before the wedding? If not, store them in your closet and you shouldn’t have to worry about losing or damaging them.

I am getting married 10/31/20 and I purchased mine at the beginning of December! My mother is holding all of my wedding wear at her home, so the shoes are there- in the dust bag/box- as well.

My wedding is 12/19/2020 and I’ve had my wedding shoes since summer 2019 … we just got engaged November 2019 laughing So don’t worry too much about it.

sarahbeabee :  Girl, buy those shoes before they’re gone! lol It’s not too early at all. Just put them up in a place that you won’t misplace them and it’ll be fine.

You’re going to think I’m ridiculous but I bought the shoes right after we got engaged and we weren’t going to be married for another 3 years. We wanted to have a longer engagement, but I KNEW I wanted these shoes on my wedding day and they were selling out quickly so I snatched them when I could. I just made sure to only try them on and break them in, on carpet at home. I stored them in the dust bag and box when it was unworn. I had no regret buying them too early, as I already established what our theme was.

Here were my beautiful Sophia Webster Chiara heels for our Spring “Garden Wonderland” wedding.

Definately get the shoes while they are available.  I got my shoes nine months before my wedding and i’m glad I did because I got to try them on and make sure they were comfortable.  This gave me plenty of time to find alternate shoes if needed.
