I don’t plan on buying until the week before the wedding. A lot of things on my list are gummy type candies, and they go stale! If you’re buying things that won’t go stale (chocolate maybe?) I don’t think it is ever to early! 🙂

I’m having a candy bar and I’ve started to buy stuff like smarties now but I’m going to wait until the weekend before.

@Nola:I am doing a candy buffett also, my wedding is in July and I have already bought the lollypops. The shelf life on them was 2012!! I think you can start now, alot of the candy has a long shelf life as long as it is stored in room temperature. I have looked into this alot, some things like gummy bears I would wait. I would rather buy a little at a time then wait and feel like your spending all this money in candy!!!

as long as you check the experation dates and keep it in cool location, you can buy it anytime

It depends.  I bought most of mine a couple months before but if there are good sales I would have considered buying early!  I think it may be tacky if you buy halloween printed candy for later!
