I’m a definite crier…movies, commercials, weddings, even weddings of people I don’t particularly know. I cry when I’m sad and when I’m happy.

oh man this is so relevant. Fiance was just trying to explain a mathematical concept to me (he’s very math-inclined, i’m so not) and i cried because i didn’t understand! this just happened about 10 mins ago.

I’m a crier 100%. The worst is I have a sympathy cry, as I call it, so I can’t see someone cry without crying as well. During TV shows, I cry a ton. It’s awful!

In between. I do not cry easily normally unless there’s a “sad” situation going on.

Now, around my period it’s insane. I will cry if a leaf falls down from a tree.

Usually never. I can easily go months and months without so much as a tear. At one stage, I couldn’t remember the last time I cried… it was probably well over a year previously, if not more. However, I have done a lot of work in the NGO sector and overseas. If I cried every time I saw a tragedy, I’d never get any work done! I don’t cry… I get ANGRY. I find anger a wonderful motivating force. It’s like rocket fuel. Makes me very productive.

That said, I have lost a lot of very close, very much loved friends and family members in the past 18 months… they all died very close together. I still sometimes look at photographs and feel myself welling up, and have to take a few deep breaths. I don’t know whether it’s the shock of losing so many so close together, or whether I’m just getting sentimental in my old age!

It’s fairly easy to make me cry. Like yourself, I cry when I’m happy, sad, frustrated, etc. I really dislike crying since I would consider myself an “ugly” crier and my eyes puff up for a really long time. And worst of all, I get super tired afterwards and feel like I need a nap ASAP.

I remember watching Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift in theaters when it came out and cried when Han died, and my brother called me out for crying over it and a few people turned to look at me. Talk about being embarrassed! Probably the movie that made my ball my eyes out was Up. Even watching it multiple times, I still cry a fair bit.

Oh my–I cry at the drop of a hat!  Friday night I got weepy crying about a miscarriage I had yeasr ago.

Yesterday I heard a Christmas song about honoring the fallen of 9/11.

Today I cried about the second anniverary of Sandy Hook and those precious babies who died because they happened to go to school that day.

I’m just an emotional basket case sometimes I’m afraid….

    OP–what’s with the poll?

+1 to the military and animal tributes. Every single time dang it!! I don’t cry very easily but I do cry sometimes when I’m frustrated. I think that’s the only time where I cry easily is when I’m frustrated at something or someone. It can get real awkward sometimes because I’m trying to argue my point and all of a sudden the flood gates are opened for no reason.

I’m a major crier too.  One thing that stumps me is I tend to cry when having to talk to a boss about a serious issue.  It doesn’t even have to be something really bad.  How can anyone take me seriously when I’m crying like an idiot.  I hate it!  I read something some where that when you feel like you’re going to cry and it’s not appropriate, you should take a step backwards. Something about creating more of a physical barrier makes you feel safer. If anyone every has the wherewithal to do this while frantically trying not to cry,” let me know how it works!
