@icanhearyousmile:  I’m almost at the 3 month mark and still have a bunch of things to do.

– Get wedding bands

-Pick out veil

-Decide on cake and flowers

-Dress alterations

-Finalize music selection for ceremony

-Mail invites

I’m sure there are some more things I’m forgetting at the moment.

@icanhearyousmile:  FI wanted us to write our own vows. i agreed.  i’ve started and restarted many times.  i googled how to write vows.

here are some tips:

How we met

How we fell in love

How your SO makes you feel special

Why you want to spend the rest of your life with this person

First Impression

Obstacles or challenges faced together

Strengths in relationship

Reasons you love this person

Expectations and hopes for the future

Marital promises

Goodness! We are almost to the 2 month mark, and this is what we have left:

-groomsmen need suits

-make my veil

-order favors

-figure out transportation

-centerpeices (however, we’re using pumpkins…so I kind of have to wait on that)

-seating chart (just sent out invites though, so have to wait a little on that too!)

– buy cake serving set

– create do not play list

-rehearsal dinner plans

-make decorations

-marriage license (but we have to be a little closer. Here we have to use it within 60 days, so I’m waiting until we hit the 40-30 day mark)

-make table numbers

I think that’s it….It’s all the little stuff now, the big stuff is taken care of!

@icanhearyousmile:  i’m worried about that too.  i know FI’s vows are going to be better than mine.

but all that matters is that they are from the heart.

i’m going to do the best i can with writing them and maybe have my Maid/Matron of Honor look over them for me.

look up actual vows, there are plenty out there on the internet to help you get started or give you an idea of what other people say.

my friend suggested i look up monica and chandler’s vows from Friends and a couple from Bachelor or Bachelorette tv show.  i think it was ryan and tristen?

I’m at 79 days left, and here’s what I need to do still:

1. Meet w/ DJ and finalize playlist

2. Get the pieces of my centerpiece together

3. DIY centerpiece stuff (wood burning, etc.)

4. Get dress bustled

5. Get marriage license

6. Address & send out invitations/track RSVPs

7. Print programs

8. Print escort cards

9. Figure out seating arrangement

10. Get baby pictures to Future Mother-In-Law to scan in and then load up our digital pic frame

11. Order a few more small decorations for around the area

12. Pre-marital counseling w/ officiant

13. Pray my shoes get here soon & that my cake stand also gets here soon lol

14. Oh, yeah, figure out if we’re having speakers at the wedding…probably should

@icanhearyousmile:  We’re having a zoo wedding, so I really wanted our table numbers to be animals. 🙂
