@nickels:  Is this your first?  I have found that my first pregnancy went by excrutiatingly slower than the second.  I know the wait can be terrible when you want to know so badly.  I feel like once you know the gender, the rest of the pregnancy is downhill from there…. til labor 😉

@nickels: Mie was only $50 at a place near my moms that does only electives and is like a livingroom. You dont have to pay through a doctors which is more expensive. Try googling “Elective Ultrasound” and see what comes up.

I was 18 weeks with this pregnancy, 20 with DS 🙂  I was fortunate enough to have 2 different techs confirm the sex of this LO, so I was ok with buying things, lol.

I should find out at my u/s on Thursday and I am 20 wks along.

We found out with a 99.9% chance of certainty at our 12 week scan. We have a boy and if you base it on the nub theory, it is really obvious because his nub was literally pointing straight up (like 90 degrees!). As soon as our U/S tech scanned she said she was 99.9% certain, as was our OB when she saw the pictures. We confirmed at 20 weeks that it really is a boy.
