Generally you should expect to start feeling something around 16-20 weeks.  Most say it’s like butterflies or bubbles.

I was around 14-15 weeks when I felt the “flutters” that people talk about, then around 17 weeks I felt my first actual kick/punch. DH felt it sometime between 18-19 weeks. I was told I would likely feel movement earlier as I had lost so much weight from being sick.

I was so excited for those first movements. Now all I keep thinking is “will you please just sit still!”.

I first felt flutters at 17 weeks which felt like a goldfish swimming around. Think I felt actual kicks at 20/21 weeks.

I started feeling flutters around 16 weeks. Kicks didn’t start until I was probably 21-22 weeks. Now I seem to have a full-fledged karate kid living inside me (I’m 27 weeks).

I started thinking that maybe I was feeling stuff at around 17 weeks. Now I’m almost 19 weeks and I’m 99% sure I’ve felt some kicks, but they’re still fairly sporadic.

About 20 weeks for the first flutters, but I have an anterior placenta so it’s taking me a little longer than usual!

I felt mine at 16 weeks. ๐Ÿ™‚ At first I only felt it if I was laying down or sitting down relaxed, and then I could feel the kicks with my hand at 17 weeks, and now at 18 weeks I feel movement pretty often throughout the day. ๐Ÿ™‚ I think my baby may be growing faster than average through a couple of these weeks though.

I was maybe 14 weeks roughly when I felt a very distinct “thump-bump-bump” but it was another probably 2 or 3 weeks before I felt anything again.  I thought I might have been hallucinating or something, but it was very, very different than anything I had ever felt before.

I didn’t really get ‘flutters’ per se until much later on, after I was feeling regular kicks & rolls.  Now I can tell a range of movement to include those little flutters.

@Mrs.D:  I felt the first “flutters’ at about 19/20 weeks. It literally felt like a butterfly was in my belly!

Flutters at 16-ish weeks, and now at almost 20 weeks I have full on little thumps and bumps, but they can’t really be felt from the outside yet since I have an anterior placenta. He likes to kick and punch downward, which makes me feel like I need to pee lol

nothing yet ๐Ÿ™ I’m 17w2d.

I did feel something the other night when laying in bed, but I’m not sure if it was gas. IT felt like a gas bubble rolling up my adbomen from hooha to just below belly button. But I was half asleep, so i might have been imaging it.

I haven’t felt anything that could be considered flutters since then

About 14-15 weeks, I couldn’t believe it! It felt like when someone kicks near you in a pool and you can just feel the pressure of the water moving.
