I’m having such a hard time keeping myself from not going crazy with the planning. I’ve already modified the guest list about three times. I’ve talked to some vendors and done some price comparison but other than that I’m kinda just twiddling my thumbs and it’s annoying!!!
What are you guys doing?

We’ve booked our makor vendors: vendor, officiant, photographer, dj, and video.

We’ve booked the church, reception venue/caterer, dj, photog, and videographer. We’ve picked our colors, I’ve bought my dress, bought our centerpiece lanterns, and we will probably send out save-the-dates in 3-4 months (way ahead of time, but we have many travelers). I am a planner, and I wanted to get as much knocked out early as I could so I could focus on school when classes are in session.

@indibee: Wow you’ve been busy. I know I tried to book my reception site (kinda glad I didn’t know because I found a totally better one) and they said it was too early and I couldn’t book until October. Pfft. Stupid venue.

I’ve been trying to live by the do-one-thing-at-a-time mantra. Right after getting engaged my goal was to find a church, then once that was done I moved on to a reception venue. Now that those are decided I feel like a big part of my worrying is behind me. I have 11 months left and last week booked a photographer and hope to get a dj/band chosen this month. I just love being able to check off each thing once it is done, knowing that I won’t have to worry about it anymore.

We’ve booked our chapel, reception is basically booked, officiant, photographer. I have bought some pieces to give the florist for our centerpieces and bouquets. I purchased my dress two weeks ago. Signed up with personal trainer to get some weight off. Colors are picked out. Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses are basically picked out, just have to take the girls to make sure it all looks nice.
Between now and April we are going to book our DJ, baker and florist. We’ve started to look for places to stay on our honeymoon too.

So far we have booked our venue. I have looked at gowns once and soon will be looking at bridesmaids dresses. Within a month or so we plan on having the DJ and photog booked. Right now I’m ordering samples for the invites and save the dates.

Mine’s in April, but we’ve already picked out the venue and have been penciled in (yay!), asked certain friends to do certain things (photographer, just to come, be a part of it, etc). Decided on our rings (still gotta buy ’em, though). I’ve designed and redesigned the invites at least four times (this is the last time, honest!), and decided on decorations and what I’ll be wearing.
We’ve picked out what our favors will be (will be ordering them in the next month or so (yay!) and decided what we’ll be giving the wedding party as gifts. I’m also gonna be making the flowers and have ordered samples from May Arts already. (May Arts ribbons are just AWESOME!!)
I’m really looking forward to this summer, when I can really get going on stuff!

Ceremony/reception venue (same place) and photographer booked, dress bought (a bit premature, but my “dream dress” was available at a sample sale). Right now I’m working on getting catering quotes. We’re getting married where FH lives now, but since he’s hoping to move to NY soon, I’d like to get the initial vendor decisions squared away while he’s still living there and I’m going out to visit regularly.

We’ve got the venue (ceremony & reception), photographer, photobooth, and DJ booked. I bought my dress and I’ve started buying supplies for centerpieces and decor. Our invitations are being designed and we are meeting with a possible officiant next week. We’ve decided on colors for the most part, and I’m taking my girls shopping for bridesmaids dresses on Friday. Not necessarily going to buy yet, but to look and try on 🙂
I’ve tried my hardest to take my time with all of this, but it hasn’t worked. I’m too excited!

Well I guess I should say what I’ve done.
We’ve picked out a church but I have to get the all official yes from the new pastor. I’ve decided on my dress but I’m waiting a few weeks to buy it. We’ve booked the photographer and we’re having our e-shoot within the next month or so. And then I just got the rental info for our reception venue. And now I’m just deciding on little knick knack stuff.

We have our venue, photographer and band. I ordered the save the dates last September but FH wouldn’t let me send them out until this month. Bridesmaids dresses are picked.
Working on centerpieces now. It’s the most stressful part of the wedding so far.
Also, I’ve been hoarding stuff for me bridesmaids, bachelorette bags for months now. Bachelorette party #1 is booked. It’s more of a ladies weekend away. It will be in Key West this coming November. The actual Bachelorette will be in Philadelphia the last weekend in February.

We’ve booked the ceremony venue, reception venue, photographer, florist, my uncle is officiating. I’ve also already had the Save-The-Date Cards printed, and invitations designed.
We still have to do the cake, but I know where it’s coming from, so it’s basically done too.
Now we just have to focus on dresses/tuxes and all the little details.

Now we’ve finished our website, taken a round of e-pics(for free from a friend) so now I can get to Save the Dates. Also met with the jeweler to get my bands made…wasn’t quite right so I’ll have to give them my ring for another week to re-mold from but I’d rather be sad another week than settle for a band that wasn’t right. Next I think we’ll schedule fall e-pics with our wedding photog to get Mr.ND a little more time to get comfortable in front of her camera. Always so many things on the to-do list.

So far we have booked the reception hall, the DJ, the ceremony site, and the photographer. Luckily the reception hall has in-house catering and bar services. Other than that, I have designed the paper stuff but just waiting until it gets closer to print. Oh, and Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses are done.
