I traveled over 2 hours to go to a Chipotle. I’m in VA and it was in NC. And I’ve traveled over an hour to hit up a Sonic. It was sooo worth it both times!

You must have some pretty good fast food in the States, cuz there’s nothing up here I would travel more than 15 minutes for!

I wouldn’t travel more than 10, maybe 15, minutes for any fast food.

@EverAfterBegins:  Oh goodness, if I lived that far from a Chick Fil A, I’d probably consider moving.  Lol, I am so thankful to have a Chick Fil A around me.

tomorrow i leave sydney 4pm for a 8hr flight to singapore, im leaving the airport to go to the marina for the best steamed pork buns ive ever had and then im going back to the airport for my connecting flight!  and repeat on my return flight

i didnt have to go via Singapore but the pork buns sealed the deal so i chose that flight over a Bangkok connection

i also once flew sydney to seattle and walked into the first Dennys i saw for a club sandwich – we dont have Dennys here and i love those things!

@Eight6Eleven:  Omg, please give me that recipe!  I have been wanting to make it at home for so long now because I can’t always afford Chick Fil A.  It’s kind of expensive.  Since I always get the large sized value meal, it’s like $7.

Occasionally, if I have a fierce craving – and especially if I’m feeling burned-out on top of that – I will drive 30 minutes to get fast food.

[Unfortunately, the nearest Chick-fil-a is STATES away – but as soon as I’m within a half hour of one, I am THERE. Soooooo delicious.]

I don’t have a car, so everything for me has to be by train. I will travel up to an hour if I have craving for something in particular. Thank goodness Shake Shack is finally coming to Brooklyn — REJOICE!!!  A friend of mine introduced me to Wegmans, omg I still dream about dish I got from there. The closest one to me i think is going upstate. When I do finally get a ride, I’m so heading there.

But in the past me and my gf would travel to other states (by plane) for Emerils. Technically not fast food but I’ve dinned at 10 of his resturants nationwide. Our first meal was at Nola’s in New Orleans and we feel in love. So decided to visit his all his resturants and planned weekends around our meals. It was fabulous. We done resurants in: Vegas (3),FL (3), New Orleans (3), the one in Atlanta (which closed). We have yet to do the ones in PA and looks like a new one openned up in Vegas.

Tonight we went to McDonalds, because we both got caught on projects today and for once I didn’t have anything planned or ready for dinner. I think this was the first time we have been there in about a year. When we started planning our wedding last year we cut fast food out of the budget completely, so I haven’t had any Burger King, Taco Bell, McDonalds, or Sonics in months and months. I have to say, that McRib tonight wasn’t as good as I remembered. I was a little disappointed, although the fries were heavenly. Still, I could have made three decent dinners for both of us for the amount of money we spent on this one meal.

In this case, we drove exactly 1 mile. I think that’s as far as I would go.

I drive to Philly sometimes for a real cheesesteak (that’s 2 hours) but we stay all day! Sometimes we drive to WaWa which is an hour away but Sheetz is better so that’s quite rare!

If I ever leave PA to move to Ocean City Maryland like we plan to…. I will drive back here all the time for Neato Burrito (which is 4 hours away but WORTH IT). Yum.

@bklynbridetobe: me tooooo!

If sit down places are included at all I seriously make 2 to 4 trips to the beach (OC MD) every year to eat at Shenanigans! That’s a 4 hour drive both ways with outragious hotel prices! So we more than once drove 8 hours for the day and just to eat there…  lol Like I said if we move there were totally doing this for Neato Burrito back home. lol

I suspect my Darling Husband only went to Alabama for his high school reunion for the food.  He craves the food and sweet tea from Milo’s Hamburgers.  We live in Arizona, so he doesn’t get it very often!  We have tons of fast food close to us, so I generally have my pick!
