We just booked everything this past month. So about 18 or so months out. Its not ridiculous to book things that far out. Get it done now that way you have a piece of mind that everything will happen where you want it. Things book up fast too, especially in bigger cities. There are only so many saturdays in a year!

Depending on where you’re getting married, I don’t think that’s too soon. We booked 15 months in advance, and the Saturday I wanted was already booked.

1.5 years to get the date we wanted (which I booked according to my work schedule and my lay off time in the summer)….

I booked my venue 16 months in advance and ya know what? Half of the weekends in the month I wanted were already booked!

My advice is that if you have a budget-friendly vendor/venue in mind, book it ASAP. I booked our photographer 14 months out and that’s not abnormal. If you find something affordable and good – grab it and don’t let go!

I booked 18 months in advance but I am also getting married in a low demand season so I was pretty much doing the picking for dates- nothing was booked (except for the Holiday parties).
