i booked my hotel in october – getting married in 9 days!

so yeah 8 months is more than enough i think – it really depends on your wedding date and how popular it is…is it wedding season? if so i would try and book asap.

We booked our venue about 15 months out but it is a very busy theatre!

We booked a year in advance, but we got married at a contemporary art museum, not a hotel. I’d imagine that if all you wanted was a general nice ballroom at a hotel, 8 month would be plenty – there are usually lots of nice hotels in a given area! We wanted one specific venue, so we booked way in advance.

We booked our venue exactly 1 year (minus a day) out from our wedding.

They held the date for us for 2 weeks so we could come and look.

The next availabilities wasn’t for 6 months. It’s a yacht club that only does weddings march-june and Sept-November so their space is limited.

We booked our venue (a historical site house) about a year and two months before the wedding!

i booked 1 year in advance. 8 months should be plenty of time — it depends on where you are, the number of venues available, and your wedding season.

We just booked our Venue last night and our wedding is 15months plus a few days away. And the venue we chose has three rooms for weddings and they are now fully booked for our date next year.

We booked a year ahead of time – it really depends on the venue and if it’s a popular wedding month.  We’re getting married in September and our first pick was booked 18 months out so we had to go with option #2.

We booked our venue in August 2010 and are getting married in October 2011 (so, 14 months).

We booked crazy far in advance, about 18 months but our venue I guess is very popular? Dates were booking up very quickly and we wanted our choice of date/time/rooms so we snapped it up.

EDIT: Even I think 18 months ahead of a wedding is a little on the abnormal side. It is just the case in some places and with the combination of our date and the venue, it happened to be one of those.

6 months, but it’s not a high demand venue 🙂

We booked one year in advance (last July).  When I booked there was no Saturdays for May, June or July, and just 1 available in Aug.  And only 4 or 5 Sundays available for June – Aug.  Things fill up quick around Boston.
