I booked 10 months in advance. But it was a really small (11 room) historic inn, and it was on a sunday.

We booked 11 months out. We got the last Saturday for our venue in September (which was the month we wanted). However, it is a somewhat unique venue. Those seem to fill up a little earlier than places like hotels (at least in my area where there are a ton of hotels).

We booked our venue 14 months in advance. Venues get booked up pretty quickly in NJ.

We booked over 18 months out. We’d looked at booking it 6 months earlier, but it was already taken! So the closest we could get in was 18 months and we took it. Grrr…darn early booking.

We booked 5 months before the date.  (booked early Jan for Memorial Day weekend).  It’s tight and stressful, but if you stay focused throughout vendor selection and know what you like/want, it can be done.

We booked ours about 15 months in advance – they only do one wedding a week and were already pretty busy for summer 2011 when we visited in June 2010.  There were a couple of free weekends in September, but August was already totally booked by then.
