Mine is a replica and I bought it way early to make sure that it would work out and gave myself time to order the original if need be. It arrived in October, i think?

Super early! 19 months before wedding! I had just gotten engaged and went with my mom and bridesmaid to start looking “for fun”, and ended up finding my perfect dress. I was hesitant about buying it but the lady said it was going to be discontinued at the end of the season (it wasn’t in the new catalog), so I decided to just go for it. When it’s right, it’s right!

My wedding is in October, and I bought my dress in February, so like 8 months in advance. It depends if you are buying off the rack, or having it ordered to your size (which is usually the case)! Good Luck!

I was told by many shops that I did not have time to order under the 6 month mark. I ended up purchasing a sample about 4 months out.

I bought my first dress 10 months before my wedding, but that ended up being a mistake. I lost a lot of weight after and the dress was hanging off me! I went to a seamstress but she said there was no way she could take the dress in without severly compromising the structure of it. Plus, it didn’t suit my new bodytype.

So I bought my second dress in November, just 3 months before my day! I think my second dress was much better anyway! πŸ™‚

I bought both dresses from a second hand bridal bouquet.

I am getting mine at the last minute so it fits and I don’t have to deal with alterations!

About 6 months…I wanted to lose as much weight as possible beforehand…
