wifetobee63:  I believe STD’s are usually sent out up to 1 year in advance depending on the circumstance. Is this wedding a destination wedding for all guests, some guests etc. If you are say doing a tropical destination wedding, I would send them out 1 year prior to so that way it gives guests enough time to save up the money for airfare etc. If its in the next town over and most guests around no more than 1 hour away, I would say about 8months-1 year. Any notice is always appreciated when it comes to destination weddings. Keep in mind 8-12 weeks prior to the wedding formal invitations will go out so by then they should know if they can attend or not. Best wishes !!

I would say send them out in the beginning of 2016. Normally I would say 1 year in advance but that’s too close to christmas and it may get lost in the shuffle

wifetobee63:  January 2nd, 2016. I swear with some people, giving them 2 years notice doesn’t help, but at least you know you’ve done your best effort to warn them, of your date.

You’d think that having the StD on the fridge (both of my daughters sent magnets) would give guests plenty of time, to schedule work or babysitters, but you’d be surprised how many people didn’t. Oh well …
