I would go closer to the wedding incase the person doesn’t remember how they did your hair.. plus you might change your mind before the wedding 🙂

My hair trial was done only about a month before the wedding.  I think you will be fine having it done either way but if you aren’t familiar with the stylist, I might do it closer to the wedding so that they remember.

i’m having my hair trial about 20 days out. my hair stylist said there was no need for us to have it any earlier than that.

My hair trial was 2 months before our wedding and it was done by a normal hairdresser who has done updos for weddings in the past – I think you would be fine either way (April or 2 weeks before) but just make sure to take pictures of the trial and also remember to comment on what you did and didnt like (for example if it starts to fall out throughout the day)

I am a hairstylist in Central, NY and typically recommend my clients to get thier hair done one prior to the wedding. I also suggest getting it done a night that you could wear it out, perhaps for the bachlerette party?

You didn’t put an option for those of us who are doing our own hair 🙁

I’m doing my own, but am starting to experiment with different looks about 3 or 4 months in advance.

I am getting married in April (4 months out) and I just had a hair trial “attempt” that went terribly wrong. I plan to have my regualr stylist do my hair and I showed her my inspiration pics. She tried it with one technique and decided that we needed to try it another way. So we plan to do it at my next appointment. I was glad that we decided to try it then. That way we still have one more shot and time for me to decide on something else. She is very talented so I was surprised. But well see. I’d go for the April appointment.
