I would register sooner than later – just be done with it!  We registered right around when we got engaged because people started asking about it then (18 months before the wedding) and we had engagement parties and showers so people wanted to send us things.  I registered at Bed Beth and Beyond and Williams Sonoma and am very happy with both so far.

I registered about a year before the wedding, which is this September.  No one has bought anything from our registries yet, but I’ve enjoyed changing and updating them as I think of things we need (or really don’t need).

I used Target, Bed Bath & Beyond and Crate & Barrel.  I haven’t had any problems with any of them.

I would start now and get it over with. If you pick a larger store too like Target or Bed Bath and Beyond (where we registered) sometimes you can’t get through the store in one day without being there for a really long time. It depends too on how much stuff you want to register for.

I would start now!

We’re hoping to register in the Fall, which would be 7 months in advance. It’s more because I am so excited though lol 🙂

I’m getting married the day before you and registered earlier this week. This will give you an idea of what you want to register for and you can always update the registery! 🙂

Make sure to check back though. I have seen a lot of registries where half of their items are out of stock because they registered a while ago.  I find this a lot with Target, too.  Seems like they have a high turnover of product.

We’re getting married in July and we registered in April.  Some things have already been discountinued and Macy’s told us that towels and sheets change with the seasons so be careful about registering too early!

We registered 6 months before because thats what we heard was the norm. But we havent gotten anything yet and that was almost 3 months ago! I assume people wont start buying you things until the invitations go out anyways so I dont think it matters when you do it as long as it is done by the time people receive their invitations.

We registered in November and we’re getting married in July.  A couple of things were discontinued, but not much.  Then again, we only registered for the basics in November and added the seasonal things (linens, etc) after Christmas.

If you have time, register now and be done with it.

We registered almost a year in advance just because we were excited but that was way too early. we’ve ended up changing items, cancelling some registries lol i think 6 months before, maybe by the time you send out your save the dates. there’s no rush really

and like someone else said, items do go out of stock and then you have to change everything around. that is kind of annoying…

We registered in February and are getting married in July.  Both our moms said that was leaving it way too late, but nobody’s bought anything yet, so I guess we were fine!
