kkkatieB12:  I have started the process with someone locally who makes invitations now and my wedding is in September. We need to get the design down and have them made still so I am hoping it doesn’t take too long! When do you want to send them out?

If your details are set in stone, I say order whenever there’s a good sale. It took me a while to get the details perfect, but I ordered mine really early (late December for my late July wedding). I just wanted to check it off my list. I also sent mine out early because people were traveling from pretty far.

We ordered our invitations through a local vendor as well, and we placed the order in February for our July wedding. We received them about 2 weeks ago, and we are getting them addressed in the very near future. 🙂 They should be done by the beginning of May, and we’ll send them out during the third week of May.

We ordered ours SUPER early because of a sale, but details were set in stone early. Turned out great, because my uncle and aunt need a copy now to help get a visa to come to the wedding.

I’ve worked out that I will need to send our invitations out in late September/early October for our early December wedding. As we’ll be away for 10 days in September (planned and booked before we got engaged lol of course), I want to have all our invitations ready to post before we leave so we don’t have to worry about them when we get back from our holiday(mid September). I’ll probably order them (from WPD) in July or August – I’ve already got a discount card and free shipping to use.

kkkatieB12:  I haven’t ordered mine, but when my BFF got married, she used Vistaprint. I’d give them some extra time because she had to return them at least 2 (maybe 3) times before they got them right. Each time they admitted it was their mistake and fixed it free of charge, and shipped them out pretty quick, but it was a bit of a headache as you can imagine. That being said, I will probably use them as well.

We used Wedding Paper Divas and ordered online about 3 months before our wedding date.  It’s not advisable to do it that close to the wedding, but we procrastinated on them a bit and it ended up working out well for us.  Wedding Paper Divas was very easy to use and it took us just an hour to design both our invitations and our RSVP reply cards.  They also shipped everything to us (just as we ordered it and free of any errors) in less than 2 weeks. Super easy and I personally wouldn’t go back and hire a calligrapher or anything like that.  If you’re going with a calligrapher, order ahead of time (at least 4-6 months), but for a service like Wedding Paper Divas, they’re quick and reliable.

I did Vistaprint, Fiance designed them and ordered them in February for our June wedding (sending them out at the end of April!! 🙂 ) 4 months was plenty of time for us. And I already have them addressed and everything, they’re just waiting to be sent out!

I ordered mine last month from WPD because they were having a sale and our wedding is in August. It’s really the only thing we’ve done early lol

kkkatieB12:  I ordered the invitations for my future SIL’s November wedding earlier this week. She already had the guest list finalized and I had a 50% off coupon for Zazzle that expires 4/15 so we wanted to go ahead and get them ordered.

I don’t know if the code was one-time use but I can PM you the code in case you think you can pull it together by 4/15 and want 50% off 🙂

We ordered them in January for our October wedding. We had all the info already and purchased them while Wedding Paper Divas had a great sale!

kkkatieB12:  my wedding was in September and I ordered mine in March. All my details were confirmed and I used Storkie.com so I had been set on the design for awhile. Also I wanted to order them and be done because if I didn’t order, I worried I would change my mind…for the 100th time and start looking elsewhere and I didn’t want it to be too late.

I had orignially wanted another invitation, but the person I was going to use was hit hard by Hurricane Sandy and her office which is in her house was destroyed, so she wasn’t taking any new orders.

So I had to find another invite I liked, and I liked my invitation but I didn’t love them like I did the original one I picked out. lol

My invitations were the one thing I stressed about, damn paper thats going right in the trash!

I ordered ours from Zazzle last week and we’re sending them out on May 1st. Most of the online places ship invites within 7-10 days.

Dont order them too early! You may make some changes before November. You never ever know! Time, location, dress code, after party, etc….I would wait a little while longer!
