niagra has plenty of hotels that people can book their own if they want. I’ve been on that drive between toronto & niagra. I think it’s a very easy drive for a wedding.

For a vow renewal, I would probably not travel more than an hour, unless it was a member of my immediate family.
@PositiveThinking: I think for a vow renewal, I would travel less far unless the couple in question was military, etc and didn’t have an actual wedding the first time.
So, for a wedding: around 2 hours w/o spending the night, 12+ hours to spend the night
Vow renewal (true vow renewal w/ previous wedding): around an hour, hour and a half w/o spending the night, probably wouldn’t spend the night unless it was for my parents, etc.
I spoke to my brother about this issue. He says he is certain that our family will travel an hour for my vow renewal. They are excited since I eloped the first time. Apparently an hour is nothing. My brother also pointed out that Niagara Falls has so much to do, which will help when we are taking pictures before the reception.
Fair enough. I thought you were bashing my idea because you said it is “low priority and akin to an anniversary party.” Vow renewals may seem low priority to you but this is a huge deal for my husband and I, as well as some of my family members.
