merighthere :  I love them! Not for working out (too hot), but just for regular casual wear. I’m 3.5 months post partum and I love anything dark and stretchy since my body has been in flux for the past year. But leggings are not pants – I always wear a tunic with them to cover my bum.

I love solids and minimal pattern if I were to have one at all. Lularoe easily irks me. Lol. But they are comfy and are a great way to implement my spring and summer dresses into the winter.

I like them for under long sweaters and tunics, but I feel awkward and self-concious wearing them with a normal top.

But I’m also commenting because earlier today a guy I know referred to thigh-high stockings as leggings and I was so baffled I just had to share.

I don’t own any, so I guess I’m not a fan. I prefer jeans.

I wear them a lot since I work sitting down all day and jeans are too much of a pain. I also own 3 million solid color tops so I’m not pattern mixing like crazy. I actually started wearing patterns when I started wearing leggings.

I still wear skirts more than leggings vs actual pants.

I am a big fan of leggings lol. I have a few Lycra pairs for working out, but the ones I wear most often are black cotton ones. Like PPs, I always make sure my butt and everything is covered (unless I’m just hanging around at home, then I’ll wear a t-shirt or tank top or something). I actually do wear these leggings to work – underneath a skirt or a dress when the weather is cooler. I wear pants a lot during winter but if I want to wear a dress or a skirt and feel it’s too cold for stockings I’ll chuck on a pair of leggings instead.

They make up about 80% of my fall/winter wardrobe. I wear them with long tunics/dresses & boots for work & with sweatshirts for running around in. My bum & cameltoe are 100% always covered.

Oh goodness.  I’ll be “that person”…this legging trend seriously has to go.  There.  I said it.  I will wear a dress, leggings, and boots, or I will wear the capri leggings to work out in, but other than that I’m wearing real pants.  I love tunics, but wear them with PANTS.  Real pants.

In all honesty I feel like fashion has been going downhill for a long time and people have been steadily not caring about their appearance nearly as much.  As an example…go to church on a Sunday and look at the “Sunday best”.  Or go to the theater, or an orchestra concert, or even a fancy dinner out.  People are wearing things that aren’t at all appropriate, and I feel this whole leggings “movement” has contributed to that.  I wear perfectly comfortable pants, shirts, skirts, and dresses to work that fit and are comfy.  People are always talking about comfort…but you can find comfort in real clothes if you buy the right size and the right fit for you.  I mean, it’s getting to the point where jeans are “fancy”.  That’s sad.

Also if Lularoe is so great (and EXPENSIVE) why do their clothes always pill and will get holes in them if you put them in the dryer?  One of my coworkers was wearing a brand new Lularoe dress the other day and she was already seeing loose threads, pilling, and she was afraid when it caught on a corner that it would rip.

I’ll lounge around the house in a comfy pair of leggings, but when it comes to going out in public, I go with J.Crew Pixie pants.

ljm308 :  “real clothes” aren’t comfortable to sit & move around in. Sorry. They just aren’t. I’ll wear dress pants for work. But that doesn’t mean they are anywhere as comfortable as leggings. They’re just more professional.

I am so happy to be living in a period of history where leggings are considered to be pants and athleisure is a legitimate fashion trend.

Apple shape here, and I highly recommend UNIQLO ponté leggings (I think they call them pants, probably because they are so thick). They hit below the belly (so you will need to choose your top wisely haha) and have a nice comfy wide waistband.

LOVE them! If you haven’t tried Zella leggings from Nordstrom, you are missing out! I wear them as often as I can get away with.

In winter my outfit is always a short dress, leggings, boots and jacket. I love leggings when it’s cold! So much comfier than pants.

I hate feeling restricted in any way when it comes to clothing. I dont even own one single pair of jeans anymore. So i live in leggings or dresses. Mostly leggings…

jannigirl :  Beg to differ.  There are plenty of comfy work pants out there.  I got home from work today and never took off my work pants because they are so comfortable.
