Not just today, or at this moment, but in general.
Please feel free to share more, like “I’ll be much happier once I’m engaged!” or “I was unhappy and then this changed…” or “I take antidepresants to stabilize my mood so therefore I’m happy” etc

I said 8 if
10= I didnt have to work and I could pursue my dreams without financial worries.
There are things I wish for, but I am not sure they would make my happier, just a different kind of happy.

I’ll be much happier when my crunch time at work is over (maybe in a few months from now), but I’m still at like a 7 or 8 (voted 8).

I said 8. If I wasn’t having such a terrible day (month…), it would probably be a nine. I generally love my life. I have an amazing boyfriend that will be my fiance in the near future, I’m graduating university next year, I’m really really excited to be a teacher. I’m happy 🙂

@Azalea_Bee: it is super interesting to me the use of these scales to rate satisfaction. othwr studies predict the same thing you see here. most people will rate themselves above average. of course, how can everyone be above average….you will see more success when you ask how happy are you compared to last year or something a bit more specific

At the moment I’m a 6/10. I have a fantastic relationship with my OH, but honestly, that’s about all I’m happy about at the moment. I’m very unhappy in my job (I’m leaving, so hoping things will improve), I’m behind in my PhD studies as I’ve devoted a lot of time to job-hunting over the past few weeks, and have been plagued with ill health due to my working conditions, and things are tough at home (I live with my family, and the last couple weeks have been difficult).

I would say I am an 8 pretty consistently.

I said 8 but it’s between a 7 and 8 depending on the day…I’m happy with most of my life except worrying about getting a job when school ends & school stresses. But as much as that can FEEL like my life sucks, it’s really not my whole life.

I voted 5…
I’m not happy but I’m not sad.
I’ll be happier once we find an apartment and start moving in. Or once the warm weather comes back, or after a few trips to the beach. After all 3 of these things (mid summer) I’ll be at a 9 which will probably stick around until winter comes again and I dip down to a 4. I hate winter.

I would put myself right about a 9. I sometimes am frustrated with personal space since we’re living with my mother, but our income far exceeds our expenses, I have no debt, whatever work I’m doing is for pleasure, I have full freedom to pursue any career dreams I may have, my Fiance puts no pressure on me to do anything but help keep a clean home, I have time to work out and cook, and I see my friends and family frequently. Maybe a 9.5?

I said 10. I’ve never been happier than I am right now. I have everything I’ve ever wanted. And I’m not talking material things because those do not bring me happiness.

I voted 8, although I debated 8 or 9 for awhile. I’ve just had a tremendous few years. Met Darling Husband, got engaged, got married, bought a house, just had a baby (he is 3 months old). I’ve had some sleepless nights, but my son just brings me sheer joy right now. We are doing well (though not amazingly) financially, and I’m actually pulling in more money part time with a new job (and free childcare) than I was at my old full-time job (though I miss it). I’ve also made more friends since having the baby, and getting out to do a lot more.
The only reason it’s down a bit is that, due to baby, Darling Husband and I haven’t had as much “couple” time together, and I miss it. We’ve also been a bit strained, although with better sleep for both of us, that’s been steadily improving. No problems, just small things becoming bigger deals because of the added stress.
But overall, super happy!

My Fiance is the best thing that has every happened to me! He makes my life a 10!
However, my new boss at work is making all of our lives a living hell, and now I’m fairly miserable from 8-6, M-F.
So I would say about an 8, overall!

objectively it should be at least 9. my life is really good. the only real worry I have is my sick cat. but for some reason I have yet to figure out I’ve been in a really bad mood a lot for the last few month, sometimes I think I’ll become depressed, sigh.
