- Wedding: June 2011
My Darling Husband and I are planning an amzing reaffirmation ceremony to make up for the lack of wedding we had when we got married. Our budget is $7500 and I’ve been obsessed with trying to get the most amount of stuff for the least amount of money. God blessed us so that we could save money on a ton of things.
My manager has a catering company. He’s doing everything for $15/head, and is charging us an additional $100 for cleaning the Reception Hall afterwards.
Our wedding planner goes to our church and is cutting her fee in half.
Our DJ, her husband, is also cutting his fee in half for us.
My bridal attendant is doing my hair for me, and the hair of my baby sister.
My coworker is a photographer and is only charging us $50 because she wants to build her portfolio. My aunt is also a professional photographer and will also be taking pictures.
Another coworker does makeup and is only charging me $15 because she too is trying to build up her portfolio.
We used 123print and got STDs/Invitations for $46.46. (We used Ebates to get cash back from that).
I had a $300 budget for my dress and including international shipping it was $171.70.
Table decorations are coming from Dollar Tree.
So as you can see we’ve saved a ton of money. What have you been able to save money on? Was it by doing a ton of DIY stuff or being frugal like us and getting friends to help?
