i am DIY my invitations. i am using cardstock paper, 110. i know this is the heaviest and there is a big difference between that and 60. is this the standard paper weight? were you able to find heavier paper?

I got 130lb cardstock and sort of regret it. I had to go to Kinkos to use their heavy duty paper cutter because the crappy ones available at Michael’s and Staples don’t work. If I could do it again I would go with 100 or 110lb paper. On top of being hard to cut, since the paper is thicker and I’m doing pocketfolds, my inserts didn’t fit with the original design. I had to make the inserts 4.5″ wide instead of the theoretical 5″ wide.

100 lb cover – but mine are matted and in pocketfolds. I’d do 110 if it was a stand alone.

my invites are stand alone and they are 118 lb cotton cardstock. the thickest paper that the printing company had!

I’m using 80# cardstock and it’s perfect for my needs. I’m printing everything on my inkjet printer and I don’t think it would let me use anything thicker than that! They will be matted, so I guess 160# total!
