@SuzySchmoozy: Your stone looks massive!!

Mine is a 1.10 stone in a cathedral setting.  It sit up pretty high but I think the cathedral setting keeps it from getting caught as much as it would otherwise.  I like it up high 🙂

Sorry I only have a crappy webcam photo 🙁

I just got mine nearly a week ago. It sits up pretty high, and I didn’t originally want that, but honestly it’s been fine. I do take my ring off at night and it’s the last thing I put on in the morning before leaving. So I don’t straighten my hair with it on, or do laundry or anything like that. I haven’t gotten it caught, or knocked it yet!

Here’s my 1 ct sapphire on a size 7 finger.

High settings are actually one of my pet peeves with rings. I just don’t like the look of them. The flusher the better as far as I’m concerned. But then I didn’t even want a diamond, just a band, lol. Mine is quite flush, but still sits up almost a quarter of an inch.

I’m a size 6.5. I find that they way it’s built up is really helpful, I rarely snag on anything, although I do knock it on stuff once in a while. One thing I didn’t consider is how thick it is on the inside (like the palm side of my hand), that clunks more than anything.

Mine sits pretty high, I wouldn’t recommend quite so high becuase I knock in on tables all the time.

That’s a 1.66 cushion on a 5.5 finger. Pardon the puffy hands

I have a 3.5 ring size, and a .6-.7 carat solitaire in an illusion setting. I haven’t hit it too often (thankfully!) and the way that it has the illusion all around it helps to protect it a bit.

*sorry for the crappy webcam pics, I don’t have other side shots*

ETA- found a close up of my ring (sitting inside Mr.ND’s ring).

I told DH I liked this setting the best because it’s supposed to make it shine/sparkle the best, but honestly it can be a pain at times. I’m always banging it into things and the prongs especially (I have 6) always get cought on fabrics and get fuzzies. My ring size is 4.5 and my diamond 1.7 ctHere’s mine (this is the best pic I have showing how high it sits.)

I love this thread!  DH was a little concerned when he proposed because he thought I didn’t love the ring.  I did love it, but usually you don’t tend to see the side view of rings and I was worried about how high and how open the setting looked.  Sorry I don’t have a pic to contribute, but I will say the ring has worked out fine!  I do spin it around when wearing gloves though.

I truly have NO clue what the TCW is, the center stone is 1.37. It looks kind of wonky but it’s just the weird shadows, I promist it’s not crooked 🙂

Mine sits pretty low and thank goodness.  I knock it into enough things without it sitting higher :-).  I’m pretty active with my hands.  I love it!  My ring is a size 6, 0.61 princess cut!
