Hi Phoenix bees,
I am getting married next Friday in a garden ceremony that begins @ 6pm.
Cocktail hour is scheduled for 6:30 – 7:30 in the garden.
The forecast for next Friday is 88 or 101 depending on rich website you look at…. At what temp do I advise the venue to move the cocktail hour setup inside?

@mrsromo: I do not live in Arizona, but I have been there. If it’s a dry heat and the ceremony is 30 minutes tops, honestly, if it’s over 90 I would move inside.

i’m getting married outside during the same time in phoenix on may 5, so i’m in the same boat. none of these predictions worry me though. even if its 101, it won’t be 101 from 6:30-7:30. and if you’re in a garden setting, which i take to mean you’re on grass or surrounded by grass, it’ll be even cooler. my cocktail hour is around a fountain and that helps make it feel cooler. none of these temps make me worry that it’s too hot to be outside.

Both are hot for me considering where I live it is close to 70 year round. However, 88 is perfectly lovely weather for most outdoors.
I would say anything above that (say 89 or above) will leave your guests feeling very uncomfortable and I would move indoors.
Check out NOAA weather. That is what pilots use and it is pretty accurate, especially the hourly estimates.
