Sporty-Bee:  Costco has low dispensing fees and drug costs here in Canada too. You don’t have to be a member to shop at the pharmacy.

With Costco, it isn’t just prescriptions.  I have to use quite a few OTC meds.  When I buy the Kirkland  brand, I was about to get about 6 months for the cost of what I was paying for 1 month of other generics.

Can anyone comment on their turnaround for compound meds?  I need quite a few of those, and most of my prescriptions are free, but it tends to be the compounded (is that a term?) meds that aren’t fully covered.  I usually use a compounding pharmacy so I can get them in a reasonable time frame.

Costco is always cheaper with prescription drugs, as well as with most other OTC drugs.

Yep, their optical dept is also much cheaper.

Also, costco hack tip. You do not need a membership to shop if you have a giftcard. so if you want to try it out without paying a member fee you can pay someone who does have it to pick up a gift card for you. You can also buy a giftcard on your way out and continue to shop there and avoid the membership fee all together.

I love Costco! They are a great company.

Sporty-Bee:  I love Costco for this! I don’t have coverage for Birth Control and the price at Costco is literally half what I paid at the local drug store!

Sporty-Bee:  Thanks for sharing!  We have a Costco membership, but I never thought of getting my prescription/s from them.  I will check this out!  Thank you!
